I can’t believe some of the comments I see on news articles. There was one on Reuters about Gasoline hitting $4/gallon in the foreseeable future. One of the readers recommend we buy electric cars since many of us can’t afford $4/gallon gas.

So they’re proposing we spend $28,000-$50,000 on a new car to alleviate financial woes.

Yeah, because I’d rather pay a $580/month car payment, full coverage at $200+ for a new vehicle, than pay $4/gallon in my 12 year old Honda civic that gets 40mpg and is insured with liability for $70 a month.

Based on my rough math I’d have to say the electric car is looking pretty good.

Psyche.
